Road Deputy - position open

We have an immediate opening for a road deputy. Qualified candidate must be at least 21 years of age and possess A VALID P.O.S.T. CERTIFICATION. Position pays $20.00 plus experience pay, overtime, late model take home patrol vehicle and benefits. Are you tired of the city life? Detention Officer- positions open

Benton County Detention Facility is hiring several new Detention Officers.  Twelve-hour shifts with rotating three-day weekends off. Night and day shift positions available. Experienced candidates are preferred but we will train the right people.

 

A Detention Officer is responsible for enforcing the rules and maintaining routines at a correctional facility. Their duties include inspecting jail cells according to security protocols and safety codes, supervising detainees during meals and recreational time and diffusing conflicts between detainees to help preserve peace and order.

 

Other duties may include but are not limited to: Regular head counts of detainees within a section. Monitor detainee behavior and report unusual activity to ensure safety and security.  Escort detainees to medical facilities, classrooms or wherever they are needed in a timely, secure manner.

 

Assist other Detention Officers with management of detainees. Conduct regular searches of detainee areas such as cells, recreation rooms and showers for unauthorized items. Manage confrontational situations as they arise to maintain security. Be able to write legible accurate reports.

 

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Starting pay $19.00-$20.80 per hour depending on experience.
